Pressure systems
The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 call for a Written Scheme of Examination to be drawn up for the majority of pressure systems (some exemptions apply under the regulations), including compressed air and steam systems, and for thorough examinations to be carried out accordingly.
A useful PDF guide to users of pressure systems is available from the Health & Safety Executive website ( www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg261.pdf opens in new window, or right-click to download direct to your PC).
Examples of pressure systems are
- Compressed air systems (Fixed and Portable)
- Steam boilers and steam heating systems
- Steam autoclaves, vessels, retorts, drying cylinders etc.
- Heat exchangers and refrigeration plant
Our engineers will draw up the written schemes (schemes for simple systems are issued free of charge) and examine the plant accordingly.
Every effort will be made to fit in with maintenance/shut down periods wherever possible.
